


Finding a hometown that has it all is hard. Geographically, Danville is right in the center of all these great areas of NH with travel time being less than an hour to most of the bigger destinations. We explored all the great New Hampshire and Massachusetts interests that were accessible to the town, and this is what we found.
Manchester is New Hampshire's biggest city, and offers plenty of things to do for a day visit or a night out on the town.
The city maintains 900 acres of parks, playgrounds, swimming pools, and a public beach. There are also sports complexes throughout Manchester which provide an opportunity for ice skating, hockey, roller derby, and more.
One of the city's biggest draws is the Northeast Delta Dental Stadium, home of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. The Fisher Cats are the double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, and offer family-friendly promotions and events throughout the season.
Manchester also hosts an eclectic mix of restaurants and bars which provide you with all you need for a great date night. Enjoy a drink and a meal and enjoy a production at the Palace Theatre or marvel at some of the great art hosted at museums and galleries like the Currier museum and the New Hampshire Institute of Art.
Portsmouth, NH, the Granite State's former capital, is a beautiful town along the coast the offers everything from delicious restaurants, tremendous arts, and fascinating history programs.
Portsmouth is truly one of the biggest and most artistic cities in the state. The city hosts big venues like the 3S Artspace and the Music Hall. Ever summer, the city puts together a summer-long free festival in Prescott Park that draws nationally touring music act to local theater troupes.
Portsmouth also has different tours for every type of attraction. At just a little over half an hour, you can reach Interstate Route 93, which extends as far south as Canton, Massachusetts and as far north as St. Johnsbury, Vermont. The route exists wholly in New England and is a gateway to major cities and landmarks such as Boston, MA; Concord, NH; Lake Winnipesaukee ; and the Merrimack River.
It also accesses the beautiful and historic cities of Northern Massachusetts. Places like Methuen, Lowell, and North Andover have historic neighborhoods that are great to walk through and admire during any of New England's four great seasons.
